Matosinhos to Cangas de Onís

We left Matosinhos for the first big day, taking the N229 and other national roads under plenty of sun. It was 550 km of open road, passing through Bragança, Puebla de Sanabria, and León, until we reached Cangas de Onís. A 7-hour journey enjoying the scenery, starting to feel the atmosphere of the Picos.

The most anticipated day in Picos! We covered 200 km of fantastic winding roads, with the sun accompanying us, from Cangas de Onís, passing through Potes and Riaño. The mountainous landscapes were absolutely stunning. We stayed at the Hotel Parador de Fuente Dé, an iconic refuge after 7 hours of pure driving on national roads.

On the third day, we began our return journey to Matosinhos, departing from Cangas de Onís. It was a 560 km trip, passing through Oviedo, Lugo, and Ourense, all under the sun. We said goodbye to the Asturian and Galician landscapes, always on national roads, after 7 hours on the road. We arrived home with unforgettable memories.
